Locally Sourced Food for Taunton Hospital

Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton is now home to a new Somerset Larder restaurant. The Somerset NHS Foundation Trust has invited it to supply freshly made, locally sourced food for its staff and visitor restaurant. The Bridgwater based company is thrilled to have this new opportunity to support the west country’s food producers and community.

Somerset Larder has taken over the former Whitlock’s restaurant, which is near the entrance to the new building and Marks and Spencer. This however is short term, as it will be moving into a new area soon.

Somerset Larder will be offering a full breakfast service, freshly brewed coffee, homemade sandwiches and salads. There will also be daily changing chefs’ specials, home made cakes and desserts.

The current opening time is 7am – 2.30pm, Monday to Friday, with a view to opening weekends once the COVID-19 measures are relaxed. It is also looking at the viability of a delivery service within the hospital.
